Bus
There are two public bus companies, TCM and TransMacau. Although this is a convenient way to get around the buses are getting fuller and fuller. They operate from 7.00am to midnight and make sure you have the exact change.

Taxi
When calling for a taxi it is important that you give yourself plenty of time to get to where you want to go. The taxi dispatchers speak little English.
When hailing or queuing for a taxi, try to know the name of your location or nearby landmark in Cantonese. A good idea (if you have been to the place before) is to take a picture on your mobile of a nearby landmark. A picture speaks 1,000 words!
